Speakers: Freeda Player-Peters & Amy Frogge

So many challenges!  So many opportunities! Hear from two members of the Metro School Board about what the future holds for Nashville’s students and teachers.

Freda Player-Peters is the Metro School Board’s newest member.  She was elected by the Metro Council in November 2019 to represent District 7. She presently serves as Senior Legislative Advisor in the Office of the Mayor, but was formerly Political Director of the Service Employees International Union which represents Metro government and school support employees.

Amy Frogge, a seven-year veteran of the school board, presently serves as Vice Chair and represents District 9.  She has been a long-time proponent of community schools and whole child education.

Free and open to the public. No reservations needed.
